Jean's story began on July 26, 1928, the youngest child of Edward and Delia (Boucher) Feldhauser. She was born and raised in Maple Forest, Michigan. In 1946, she graduated from Grayling High School as Valedictorian of her class. She received her teaching degree from Central Michigan University in 1950. While attending CMU, she met the love of her life, Edward Reihl. They were married on August 11, 1951. Together they lived and raised their only child, Sherry, on the family farm in Beal City.

Jean often spoke of her 30 years as an elementary school teacher. She taught for 20 years in the Beal City School System. She took great pride in the fact that she helped shape the lives of so many young children. She always said, "There is no better feeling than when you teach a child to read!"

Most important to Jean was her family. She was extremely proud of her grandchildren. She was a kind, loving person with a quick wit who made everyone feel special. Let Jean be known for her love of God, family, little children, and her signature color, Pink!

Jean is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Scott) Theisen of Mt. Pleasant; two granddaughters, Lindsay Theisen (Jason) of Mt. Pleasant and Brittany (Mark) Tembreull of Rosebush; two great-grandchildren, Lucas and Macy Tembreull; sisters-in-law, Pat Reihl, Anne Wohlscheid, and Bernice Grinzinger; special friends and neighbors, Sandra Boge and Robert Boge; and many nieces and nephews.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; parents, Edward and Delia Feldhauser; siblings, Carrie Baynham, Edward Feldhauser, Jack Feldhauser, Bessie Feldhauser, Dora Feldhauser; and many brothers and sisters-in-law.
