Obituary for Grace Louella Perry
PERRY, GRACE LOUELLA, age 95, of Alma, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020, at her home.
Graveside services will take place at Christian Memorial-West Cemetery in Rochester Hills, Michigan on Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Kingsbury officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Indian Church of the Nazarene, PO Box 403, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858.
Grace was born August 24, 1924, in Mt. Alto, West Virginia, the daughter of Melvin and Gertrude (Smith) Wheeler. She married Harry Perry in February 1946 in Marmet, West Virginia. Harry preceded her in death on 2004. Grace was a member of St. Louis Church of the Nazarene and was a Sunday school teacher. Baking, reading, and especially reading her Bible were some of her hobbies.
Grace is survived by her son Doyle (Darlene) Perry of Alma; 3 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and sister Jean Dunne of Auburn Hills.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents; husband Harry; brother John Wheeler; and sisters Frieda Durst, Fay Wheeler, and Bird Roush.
