Obituary for Grant Eugene Crain

Grant Eugene Crain, age 74, of Harrison passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland.

Grant was born June 27, 1949, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas the son of Woody Crain and Hettie (Bedwell) Crain. Grant was united in marriage to Ms. Cindy Lou Laubscher on June 3, 1989, in Midland.

Grant retired from Fast Decks of Walled Lake, Michigan after forty-five years as a carpenter/foreman. He had resided in Harrison since 1999, moving from Walled Lake, Michigan. Grant was a past member of Forgotten Eagles of Michigan. He loved riding motorcycles, fishing, hunting, playing bingo, watching televised Detroit Tigers Baseball, reading “True Crime”, woodworking, especially crafting his bird houses and bird feeders and tried to play golf.

Surviving Grant is his wife of thirty-four years, Mrs. Cindy Lou Crain of Harrison, three children; his twins, Tommy of South Lyon, Michigan and Tony of Saginaw, Michigan and James of South Lyon, six grandchildren, one brother, Ken and wife Sue of Walled Lake, Michigan, many nieces, nephews, close friends; Carl, Don, Alan, Brian, Kenny Jr., and Buster, plus many more friends and acquaintances. Grant was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Claudia, one brother, James and an infant brother.

Celebration of Life services honoring and remembering Grant will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. from Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service, 165 West Oak Street, Harrison. A time of gathering will take place on Saturday, March 30, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorial gifts in memory of Grant may be considered to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
