Obituary for Harold C. Drown

Harold C. Drown, age 95, of Harrison passed away Monday, January 1, 2024, at The Horizon Senior Living Center.

A Memorial Service for Harold will be held at The First United Congregational Church on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Vaughn Peterson officiating. Interment will follow on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Fort Gratiot, MI. Memorial contributions may be made to The First Congregational Church or the American Legion Post 404. Envelopes will be available at Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and the church.

Harold was born on April 9, 1928, in Port Huron, son of Claude and Bella (Halperin) Drown. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. Harold married the love of his life, Donna Jean Ling on December 16, 1948, in Angola, Indiana. He was a member of the First United Congregational Church in Harrison, serving as a Deacon and volunteering at the fairgrounds. Harold loved gardening, woodworking, telling an endless amount of jokes, golfing, spending time outdoors, and wintering in Florida.

Harold is survived by his sister, Gladys Levy; and many nieces and nephews, including Kim Persondek and Alicia Persondek.

Harold was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Drown in 2012; son, Mark; parents; three brothers, Charles Drown, Ronald Drown, and an infant brother; and sisters, Lena Levy, Marion Noble, and Berneice Persondek.
