Obituary for Harold "Mike" R. Clark
Harold (Mike) R. Clark, age 76 of Mt. Pleasant passed away Tuesday, February 6th, 2024, at home surrounded by his family.
Mike was born in Mt. Pleasant, on April 23, 1947, to Charles and Mary (Comins) Clark. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant Schools with the class of 1965. Mike started working for Michigan Airgas in 1966, worked briefly in the trucking business with his brother, Charlie, at C.J. Clark Trucking and then returned to Michigan Airgas, where he retired from management in 2004. Mike enjoyed fishing, golfing, deer hunting, snowmobiling, westerns and spending time with family and his pugs, Copper, Belsey and Harley. He was a Lions and Red Wings fan along with NASCAR during the Dale Earnhardt era.
Mike is survived by his daughter, Michelle Gibbs of Clare; son, Michael (Jody) Clark of Remus; grandchildren, Mackenzie (Kenny) Smith and Reece Clark; siblings, Joe Clark of Mt. Pleasant, Sue Embrey of Weidman and twin sister, Carol (Rich) Embrey of Rosebush; along with many nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his mother and father, siblings, Charles (Audrey) Clark, and Marion (Royal) Harrison; brother-in-law, Dennis Embrey and sister-in-law, Lois Clark.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 10th at 12PM at Clark Family Funeral Chapel, with Dallas McClain officiating. The family will receive friends from 11AM until the time of service. A luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. Interment will take place at Riverside Cemetery
