Obituary

DENEEN, HOWARD JOHN, age 75, of Lake Isabella, passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at McLaren Central Michigan.

A Memorial Mass for Howard will be held at St. Joseph The Worker Church Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 12 noon with Father Thomas Held officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Beal City Knights of Columbus Hall. The family will receive friends the day of the service beginning at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Community Cancer Services of Isabella County or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Envelopes will be available at the church.

Howard was born on May 5, 1943, in Cheboygan, the son of Raymond and Margaret (Normoneau) Deneen. For over 30 years, Howard did interior painting and wallcovering in the Central Michigan area. He married Celia “Cathy” (Drake) Martin in Mt. Pleasant on December 28, 1991. Howard was a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer, liked fishing, and loved to tinker. Howard also loved to watch U of M football.

Howard is survived by his wife Celia “Cathy” Deneen of Lake Isabella; son James (Marites) Deneen of North Dakota, daughter Heather Deneen of Houghton Lake, and daughter Stephanie Deneen of Wayne; grandchildren Mark Martin, Jessica Deneen, Michael Ziembo, and Ethan Burgess; brothers William (Norma) Deneen of Woodlands, TX, Norman Deneen of Thomas, OK; and a sister Carol Wioskowski of Oxford.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents.
