Obituary for Iva Joy Fuller

Services: Thursday July 15, 2010 at 1 p.m.


Visitation: on Tuesday, July 13 from 7 to 9 and Wednesday, July 14 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9.


Iva Joy Fuller, 25, of Mt. Pleasant passed away July 9, 2010.

Funeral services for Iva will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel in Mt. Pleasant on Thursday July 15, 2010 at 1 p.m. with Reverend Owen White-Pigeon officiating. Interment will follow in the Denver Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 13 from 7 to 9 and Wednesday, July 14 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 at Clark Family Funeral Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Clark Family Funeral Chapel for funeral expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Iva was born on June 6, 1985 in Traverse City, the daughter of William Powers and Tina Marie Fuller. Iva enjoyed traveling and being with friends. She was a talented basketball player and artist. She was a member in the Nottawaseppi Huron Band Potawatomi and a life time resident of Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe.

Iva is survived by one son, Lawrence Joseph Fuller, her father, William Powers; brother, Daniel Lawrence Fuller; grandfather, Lawrence Nahgahgwon; aunts, Doreen Eggleston and Iva Joy Chimoski; nephews, Kayen Chippeway and Daniel Fuller, Jr; niece, Sadie Marion Chippeway; god-son, James Andrew Montoya-Pego, and best friends in life, Iliana Montoya-Bennett, Nick Vasquez, and Juan “Big Guy” Montoya-Pego. She is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Iva was preceded in death by her mother, Tina Fuller; grandmother, Marion Nahgahgwon; uncles, Rev. Lester White-Pigeon, Arnold Nahgahgwon, and Harold Nahgahgwon; aunts, Doris Eggleston, Sarah Sprague-White-Pigeon, and Mildred Strothers.
