Obituary for Jacob Nathanael Angelos


ANGELOS, JACOB NATHANAEL, 29, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Friday, June 3, 2016, due to a work accident in Lucas County, Ohio.

Funeral Services for Jacob will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ron Vredeveld officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, at Clark Family Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a fund for Jacob’s son Henry. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Jacob was born on June 5, 1986, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of James and Sally (Bourdess) Angelos. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in the Class of 2005. Jacob worked as an oiler operator in the pipeline industry and was a member of the Operating Engineers Local Union 324 for the past four years. He married the love of his life Katie Larr on November 30, 2013, in Ann Arbor. Jacob enjoyed skateboarding in his younger years and disc golfing. He was a devoted husband and father. Jacob was so proud of his son Henry and dearly enjoyed spending time with him.

Jacob is survived by his wife, Katie Angelos and son, Henry Jacob Angelos of Mt. Pleasant; his parents, James and Sally Angelos of Mt. Pleasant; his parents-in-law Rick and Lynn Larr of Mesick; his grandfather Jack Bourdess of Nebraska; his brother Seth of Mt. Pleasant; his sister-in-law, Kasey (Bud) Lewis of Kalkaska; brother-in-law Chris (Trish) Skrine of Kentucky; and nieces Kaedynce and Taylor and nephew Carter.

Jacob was preceded in death by his grandparents.
