James “Jim” Richard Brown 79 of Harrison passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020. James was born May 13, 1940 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of Richard and Grace (Thomson) Brown. Mr. Brown honorably served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, upon completing three tours, Jim remained in the Army for over twenty-two years retiring as an E-5.
Mr. Brown has resided in Harrison since 1980, moving from Fort Lewis, Washington. Jim enjoyed hunting, wood carving and burning, socializing with his friends at the bar and watching Fox, CNN and NBC News channels.
Surviving Jim are his three sisters; Judy Carpenter and husband Greg of Lake City, Michigan, Sandra Lott and husband Greg of Harrison and Donna Brown of Santa Rose, California, plus many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and several extended family members. Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his parents.
Private family services for Mr. Brown will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly, Michigan.
