Obituary for James Lloyd King
King, James Lloyd, age 60, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Prestige Centre.
A memorial service will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on March 5, 2022, at 2 p.m. with Chaplain Jeff England officiating. A luncheon will follow in Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice. Envelopes will be available at Clark Family Funeral Chapel.
James was born on September 10, 1961, in Sheridan, the son of Merton James King and Wanda Ann (Jones) King. He attended Chippewa Hills High School. James worked in construction. He enjoyed driving his tractor around the farm and watching old movies. James loved spending time outdoors, being in the woods, and observing wildlife.
James is survived by his sister, Deb (Steve) Jackson; nieces: Stephanie (Ben) Soyars of Muskegon and Tracey (Philip) Pezza of Glen Ellyn, IL; nephew: Patrick Jackson; grandniece and grandnephew: Mason and Claire Soyars; uncles: Gene (Kate) King of Blanchard and Gus Rios of Stanton; and special family friends: Dave and Pat Snyder and Dave Winegardner.
James was preceded in death by his parents and numerous aunts and uncles.
The family would like to thank the Prestige Centre staff, Alex from PACE, Heartland Hospice support staff, and a special thank you to Jim's lifeline from hospice: Sandy, Mark and Chaplain Jeff.
