LOUGH, JAMES ELDON, age 75, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday, October 7, 2019, at his home.
A Celebration of Life for James will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2019, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Wheatland Township Hall, 201 South Sheridan Avenue, Remus, Michigan 49340. The Celebration will be a Pot Luck, so please bring a dish to pass. Drinks, meats, and fixings to go a long will be provided. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
James was born on January 8, 1944, in Ferris Township, the son of Eugene and Lucinda (Straight) Lough. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. James married Mary Kenworthy on February 14, 1999, in Hersey, MI. He worked at Total Petroleum for 33 years, before leaving in 2000 to work at Leprino. In retirement, he enjoyed working at The Pines golf course. James was an devoted University of Michigan fan. He enjoyed deer hunting, golfing, mowing the lawn, riding his four wheeler, enjoying time outside, and an occasional Strohs.
James is survived by his wife, Mary Kenworthy; children, Richard (Tammy) Lough, Lana (Dan) Sneddon, Sandy (Joe) Sharrar, Wendy (Chris) Seymour, and Michele Kenworthy; grandchildren, Dakota, Lauren, and Nicholas Seymour, Malia and Jozlyn West, Bentley Freeman, Mike, Justin, and Josh Sharrar; great-grandchildren, Kaia Seymour, Mattison, Alayna, and Kennedy Sharrar; siblings, Richard (Reva) Lough, Eugene Lough, Donna (Wes) Schwartz, Linda (Gordon) Oosterhouse, Mike (Linda) Lough, and Carol Tatara; siblings-in-law, Charles (Debbie) Kenworthy, Jr., Ralph (Sandra) Kenworthy, and Shaun (Sheryl) Kenworthy; mother-in-law, Barbara Ann Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Matt Sharrar; brother, Robert Lough; brothers-in-law, Dale Schwartz and Kevin Kenworthy, sisters-in-law, Elaine Lough and Ellen Lough; father-in-law, Charles Thomas Kenworthy, Sr.
