Obituary for James Edward "Jim" Norton Jr.
James Edward "Jim" Norton, Jr., age 80, of Harrison passed away surrounded by the love of his family on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at his home under Heartland Hospice.
Per Jim's wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Jim's Life will take place at a later date.
Jim was born on December 7, 1943, in Lansing, son of James and Mildred (Smith) Norton. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married Sandra Kay Wallis on July 9, 1983, in Dodge City. Jim worked in construction his whole life. He loved playing horseshoes and shuffle board.
Jim is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandra Norton; sons, Michael (Cindy) Adkins and Robert "BJ" Norton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jim was preceded in death by his daughter, Lorie Lynn Adkins; parents; and four brothers.
