Obituary for James Emery Starkey
James Emery Starkey, age 32, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, December 19, 2023.
Per James’ wishes cremation has taken place at Daisy Hill Crematory. A Memorial Service for James will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, December 28, at 12 noon with Benjamen Evers officiating. A Luncheon will follow at Seventh Generation. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
James was born April 4, 1991, the son of Tony Glenn Starkey and Roberta Joanne Starkey. James was a proud member of the Saginaw Chippewa Indian Tribe. He enjoyed helping his father with junk cars. But most of all James loved his daughter and all the time he was able to spend with her.
James is survived by his father, Tony (Sara Ann Chingman) Starkey; mother, Roberta Starkey; daughter, Ariel Starkey; brothers, Billy Starkey, David Starkey, Tony Starkey Jr.; sisters, Sonya Starkey, Patricia Alonzo, Betsey Alonzo; many: aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
James was preceded in death by his grandparents and uncle Terry Starkey.
