Obituary for Janet Caroline Freeze
Freeze, Janet Caroline. Age 75, of Mount Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at MyMichigan Medical Center Midland.
Funeral services for Janet will be held at First Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant on Saturday, November 19, 2022, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Andy Molyneux and Pastor Don Newport officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow at the Church. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Rosebush Manor or First Baptist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and the Church.
Janet was born December 9, 1946, the daughter of the late Robert and Vera (Hartman) Papenfus. Janet graduated from Mount Pleasant Public Schools, class of 1965. She married the love of her life Raymond Freeze on December 6, 1964 in Mount Pleasant. Janet worked for Mt. Pleasant Public School as a bus driver for 28 years. She was a member of the Church of God Anderson. Janet loved to travel with her travels she often would camp with her husband and children. Nothing in Janet's life came before her family, they meant the world to her and she meant the world to them. Janet will be greatly missed.
Janet is survived by her husband of 57 years; Raymond Freeze of Mt. Pleasant; children, Raymond John II (Gerolyn) Freeze of Mt. Pleasant, Annette (Jim) Rathbun of East Jordan MI, Rodney (Julie) Freeze of Beal City, Candy (Kevin) Chamberlain of Mt. Pleasant; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry (Dorene) Papenfus of Mt. Pleasant.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents Robert and Vera (Hartman) Papenfus.
