BENEDICT, JANICE ELAINE, age 67, of Howard City passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at The Laurels of Mt. Pleasant.

Janice was born on January 15, 1952, in Lakeview, MI, the daughter of Richard Hysell and Agatha (Cogswell) Kiste. She married Harry Benedict. Janice loved working with flowers and making flower arrangements as a florist. She enjoyed camping, fishing, and playing cards.
Janice is survived by her children, Michelle (Tim) Cook of Howard City, Jeff Elliott of Howard City and Roni (Curtis) Travis of Mt. Pleasant;13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; siblings, John Hysell, Rex (Cathy) Hysell, Richard (Deb) Hysell, Sharon Stapp, and Brenda (Jeff) Brunderman; and many nieces and nephews.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Benedict on December 12, 2018; parents; and brother, Jake Cogswell.
