Obituary for Jean Marie Hall (Cuneaz)

Jean Marie Hall 88 of Harrison passed away Monday, October 22, 2018 at Woodland Hospice House-Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. Jean was born June 14, 1930 in Royal Oak, Michigan the daughter of Maurice L. and Augusta H. (Trabant) Cuneaz. On August 21, 1965 in Pontiac, Michigan, Jean was united in marriage to Mr. Charles L. Hall Jr.
Jean had resided in Harrison since 1987, coming from Detroit, Michigan. Jean enjoyed playing bingo, visiting the casino, ceramics, knitting, buying and wearing jewelry, gardening and reading a good book.
Surviving Jean is her loving husband of fifty-three years, Mr. Charles L. Hall Jr. of Harrison, three sons; David Lawrence and wife Monica, Daniel Lawrence and wife Kerri, Jeffrey Lawrence and wife Lisa, one daughter, Sarah McCone and husband Kevin, one step-daughter, Elizabeth Brendel and husband Frederick, proud grandmother of eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, dear sister of Carol Ellis and brother Mick Cuneaz and wife Kathy, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her two sisters, her twin, June Gaiser and Marilyn Stephens.
Funeral services celebrating Jean will be held Saturday, October 27, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. from Stocking Funeral Home, Harrison with Pastor Connie Bongard officiating. Visitation will take place on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial gifts in her memory may be considered to: Woodland Hospice House, 2597 S. Meridian Road, Mt. Pleasant, Michigan 48858. I'm sad to hear this news. My sympathies to Jean's family and friends. My memories of Jean are of meeting up with her and my mom, Ruth at the casino. She won, I didn't. And of Jean coming to the hospital while my mom was having her mastectomy. Jean sat and waited with us with words of encouragement even though she too was worried about her friend. My mom named Jean as her best friend. She will always have a special place in my heart.
