Condolence: Our thoughts and prayers are with the Pickler family at this difficult time of loss and deep grief. I have known Jeff for nearly 25 years as a neighbor, CMU police officer and a volunteer firefighter for the City of Mt Pleasant. As a neighbor he was always friendly and more than willing to help out if needed. His skills as a volunteer firefighter were highly respected by the administration of the department, and by his fellow firefighters. Jeff was always easy to talk to, whether we were on his front lawn talking about our camping experiences, or in a meeting preparing for Western weekend. His dedication to the public safety of the students of CMU and citizens of Mt Pleasant never waivered. Jeff was a fine person and Kathy and I will miss him.

Condolence: First, let me express my condolences to Jeff's family. Although Jeff and I were not close friends, we were acquaintances who shared personal experiences some years ago. I often think of and appreciate the insight he gave me back then and always hoped to tell him that someday. I am sorry that I never did so.

Condolence: You are all in my prayers. Jeff was a fine person and always ready to help. One time when my parents came out of church and discovered a flat tire Jeff was right there and changed it for them in his church clothes. My parents never forgot his kindness and told me about it many times. Blessings to all of you. In sympathy and Christian Love, Cece, Askegard
