Obituary for Jeffrey William Sims
Sims, Jeffrey William, age 59, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Monday, January 21, 2019 in his home. Per Jeff’s wishes, cremation will take place. There are no public services planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
Jeff was born September 3, 1959 in Detroit, the son of Robert and Edna (Hobbel) Sims. Jeff worked at Exotic Factories in Farmington Hills and was known as “the tank”. For many years he worked as the public relations specialist in Harrison for Region 7b. He was very proud of that and liked to call himself the “PR” guy.
Jeff married Faith Wilhammer on August 16, 2003. Jeff loved his wife and enjoyed spending his days with her. Some of his favorite things to do were reading, debating and watching movies with his son. He was an awesome grandpa and he loved spending time with his grandchildren. He also had great passion for social gesture and was very generous in donating and contributing to causes he believed in.
Jeff is survived by his wife Faith Sims of Mt. Pleasant; 9 children: Daniel (Andrea) Domanowski of Ohio, Will (Oxana) Domanowski of Georgia, Bobby (Ashley) of Shepherd, Christina (Thomas) Sims of Tennessee, Sasha (Blake) Sims of Lake, Alex (Britt) Sims of Harrison, Adam Wilhammer of Garden City, Aaron Wilhammer of Wixom and Amber Wilhammer of While Lake; and 9 grandchildren.
