Obituary for Jen "Denise" Quinn

Jen "Denise" Quinn was born May 31, 1957.

Jen "Denise" Quinn, of Coleman, peacefully passed away at her home with her loving husband at her side after a long and hard battle with cancer on March 29, 2018.

She has now reunited with her beloved parents, John and Evelyn Smallwood who cherished their first born, "cute little girl with beautiful blonde hair that could melt hearts with her smile."

Denise married her amazingly loving husband, James Quinn, June 30, 2000. They lived an adventurous and loving life. They loved to travel and take long Harley rides together. She also enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking (best carrot cake EVER!), but her first priority was her family.

She will be deeply missed by her three children, Wendy (Brian) McJames of Clare, Richard Young II of Coleman, Tianna (Trevorr) Johnson of Coleman.

She was most happy when her "grands" were with her, Aiden, Abby, Elley and Kal. The grandkids sure loved their "ging-ging"/"yellow grandma" just as much as she loved them. They warmed the "cockles of her heart." Also near and dear to her heart was her best friend, Aunt Jan Lincoln. They would spend weekends together in Oscoda reminiscing and enjoying each other's company.

She will also be missed by many special cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of her life will be held at Coleman VFW on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 2 p.m. Dinner will be served afterward.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to MidMichigan Hospice.
