Obituary for Jennie Marguerite Dent
Jennie "Jenny" Marguerite Dent, age 99, of Mt. Pleasant, was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, May 27, 2022. Marguerite was born on Sunday, April 29, 1923, in Rosebush, the daughter of Peter Neil Morrison and Anna Lillian (Marshall) Morrison. She was a lifelong resident of Isabella County.
On October 14, 1945, Marguerite married William (Eugene) Coppens. He preceded her in death in 1955.
On August 8, 1964, Marguerite married Paul Dent. He preceded her in death on December 10, 1998.
A proud mother and grandmother, she loved tending to her flowers in the summer and spending time with her family above all else.
Marguerite will be greatly missed by daughters Janice (Jim) Schafer, Wanda (Jerry) Conlay, Sonia O'Connor, and Tammy Bow, 11 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, 18 great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ivan, Bobby, Don, Arthur, and Francis, sisters Mildred, Catherine, Bonnie and Agnes, daughter Annette Bowers, sons-in-law Curtis Bow and Larry Bowers, grandsons Gary Bowers and Todd Schafer, granddaughters Tonya (Bowers) Penner, Trecy Bowers, and Stacie (Schafer) Vanhorn, and an infant
great great granddaughter.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private service for the family was held on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at Clark Funeral Home.
Her daughters would like to thank the staff at Elara Caring Hospice of Lansing for their kindness and compassion in assisting our mother in her transition to Heaven.
