Obituary

DENT, JENNIFER ELIZABETH, age 46, of Mt. Pleasant passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at her home under the care of Heartland Hospice.

A Funeral Mass for Jen will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, December 13, at 11 a.m. with Fr. Don Henkes officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Thursday, December 12, 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel and Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Jen was born on March 22, 1973, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Ron Barz and Cindy Hutchinson. She graduated from Beal City High School in 1991, receiving her Associate's Degree from Mid Michigan Community College. Jen married John Dent on December 30, 2005. Jen loved working as an LPN for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was often found with a group of loved ones in the house, backyard, or poolside.

Jen is survived by her husband, John Dent; children, Erika Campbell, Olivia Campbell, Chloe Campbell, and Trinity Dent; parents, Ron Barz and Cindy (Randy) Kozak; siblings, Jason Barz, Ed (Angie) Barz, and Katherine Barz; and many extended family members.

Jen was preceded in death by her grandparents.

So sorry to hear of the loss of this lovely lady. She brought a smile to my face on more than one occasion. We worked together for years at Biolife and hung out together outside work many times too. The sound of her laugh made things a little more fun each day at work. She always laughed like she meant it, not one of those phony laughs, but a big, hearty laugh straight from her soul! R. I. P.
