JERRY P. ST. ANDRE, age 72, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2021, after a long and courageous health battle. Jerry was comforted in his passing by the love of his life for the past 54 years, his devoted wife Mary Beth.
Jerry is survived by Mary Beth, his son Jeremy (Rhiannon), grandson Sam, and sister Judy Lee (Brian) Holmes and their family.
He is also survived by special family member Nora Adriana Garza and family.
Jerry will be greatly missed by his Wolfston family members, Michael (Janice) Wolfston, Barbara (Michael) Andrus, Patricia (Ted) Hawco, John (Barbara) Wolfston, Katie (David) McClimans, and many nieces and nephews.
Jerry was blessed to be a man with a great number of friends, from far and near.
Jerry was born December 29, 1948, to Paul “Al” and Judy St. Andre in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was a 1967 graduate of West Catholic High School and attended Grand Rapids Community College. He and Mary Beth (Wolfston) met at West Catholic and were married November 27, 1970, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Jerry and Mary Beth relocated to Blanchard, Michigan in 1973 when Jerry began employment at Morbark Industries. Their home in Blanchard was a joyful gathering place. Jerry, Mary, and Jeremy made a life in Mid-Michigan where the family made a host of new friends and enjoyed lots of great times and fun filled adventures.
Jerry and Mary founded their business, Grafx Central in 1983 in their home and grew the company to its current location in Mt. Pleasant, where Jeremy continues as Jerry’s successor. Jerry was proud to have Jeremy take the reigns of the business and continue its growth.
Jerry, Mary Beth, and Jeremy loved traveling, golfing, and entertaining. The times that brought the most joy were the times spent in his beloved Upper Peninsula, from Copper Harbor to Curtis to Mackinaw City.
The family takes great comfort that Jerry spent his final week at the family retreat in Mackinaw City surrounded by family. He was able to enjoy the view of the Mighty Mac and the passing freighters as he relaxed with Mary Beth, Jeremy, Sam, Rhiannon, and Judy Lee joining him. The time together was a blessing and treasured memory.
A Celebration of Life for Jerry will take place on Saturday, July 31, 2021, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Sleepy Hollow Hideaway, 4883 S. Littlefield Road, Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858.
