Obituary for John Richard "Dick" Anderson
ANDERSON, JOHN R. "Dick", age 75, of Weidman passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at home under the care of Heartland Hospice.
Funeral Services for Dick will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 19, at 4 p.m. with Pastor Daryl Amrozowics officiating. A Luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 18, from 5 to 9 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 3 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, Isabella County Soup Kitchen, or an organization of your choosing. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Dick was born on July 12, 1943, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Charles D. and Stella Catherine (Kirk) Anderson. Dick proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He married Patricia Henry on August 24, 1963, at Sacred Heart Parish. Dick worked for General Motors for 30 years, retiring in 1994. Dick loved to hunt, fish, play cards, and work on automobiles. He enjoyed spending time outdoors.
Dick is survived by his wife of 55 years, Patricia; children, Karen (Ken) Klinkoski of Grand Ledge, Barbara (Joe) O'Brien of Fowler, and Richard (Sherrie) Anderson of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Jamison (Bethany) Fedewa, Benjamin Fedewa, Madelyn Klinkoski, Cody Anderson, Joshua Klinkoski, Joseph O'Brien, and Jessica O'Brien; two great-granddaughters, Carley Jo and Aubree; siblings, James (Kim) Anderson of Durand, Albert (Myra) Anderson of Remus, and Dennis (Carol) Anderson of Perrinton; many brothers and sisters-in-law; and very many nieces and nephews.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Bob, Bill, an infant brother, and Ronnie; and sisters, Annie and Susie.
