John was born April 6th, 1951, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Ray and Allie Mae (McConnell) Wilson. John married Linda Gumpher on March 19, 1988, in Mt. Pleasant. John was a farmer and loved to hunt.
John is survived by his wife, Linda, children, Renee Wilson of Oklahoma, Tina (Stacy) Wilson of Texas, Jason (Blair) Wilson of Beal City, Brandy (Alvin) McQueen of Mt. Pleasant, Kip (Anne) Cotter of Ypsilanti,and Kris (Gary) Maxon of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Ashleigh, Tyler, Alyssa, Bailey, Ally, Cooper, Parker, Peyton, Kaitlyn, Miranda, Kayla, Kyle; great-grandchildren, Hennessy, RaeLynn, Breuer, Amelia, Rowan, and Penelope.
