Obituary for Joy Dee Fuller (Saul)
Joy Dee Fuller 68 of Harrison passed away Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Michigan Medicine Hospital, Ann Arbor, Michigan. Joy was born August 19, 1951 in Lansing, Michigan the daughter of JD and Roberta (McClarnon) Saul. Joy graduated from Lansing Eastern High School in 1969. Joy moved to Lake George, Michigan in 1969, coming from Lansing, then relocated to Harrison in 1974. On April 28, 1984, Joy was united in marriage to Mr. Francis (Frank) J. Lipka. Mr. Lipka preceded Joy in death on December 3, 1989. On December 10, 1991, she was united in marriage to Mr. Dennis Fuller. Mr. Fuller preceded Joy in death on September 3, 2012.
Mrs. Fuller was a member of the VVA Chapter 1047 Auxiliary of Harrison. Joy volunteered many hours with the VVA as well as the American Legion Post 404 of Harrison. Joy loved baking, especially during the holidays. She enjoyed fishing, boating, rock collecting, buying treasures at yard sales, taking sporadic road trips and feeding and watching wildlife. Her greatest love was her grandchildren and her pets.
Surviving Joy is her mother, Bobbie (Roberta) Saul, her ten children; Rita M. Lipka-Vance and partner Ben Herritt of Harrison, Wendy Graham and husband Jeff of Saginaw, Michigan, Barbara Flick of Perry, Michigan, Kelly McComber and husband Craig of Wyandotte, Michigan, Aime Ebenhoeh and husband Ron of Traverse City, Michigan, Jackie Smith of Mobile, Alabama, Denny Fuller and wife Linda of Texas, Mike Fuller and wife Ronda of Ida, Michigan, Scott Lipka and wife Kari of Indiana and Michael Lipka and wife Nicole of Grand Blanc, Michigan, twenty-one grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two sisters; Cheryl Hathaway of Lansing and Lettie Saul of Las Vegas, Nevada, one brother, Roy Saul and wife Becky of Lansing, plus many nieces, nephews, extended family members and her best friend, Sandy Sigafoose of Harrison. Mrs. Fuller also was preceded in death by her father and one son, Anthony “Tony” Saul.
Celebration of Life services honoring Mrs. Fuller will be held Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Harrison City Park, Pavilion D, 915 West Spruce Street, Harrison, Michigan.
