Obituary for Joyce Elaine Fish (French)

FISH, JOYCE ELAINE, age 91, of Midland passed away Monday, December 4, 2017, at her home under the care of Heartland Hospice.

A Memorial Service for Joyce will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, December 13, at 3 p.m. with Rev. William Bailey officiating. A Luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. Internment of ashes will take place in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Isabella County Commission on Aging. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Joyce was born on March 14, 1926, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of Henry and Agnes (Johnson) French. She married Ivan Fish on November 11, 1943, in Mt. Pleasant. Joyce worked as the LPAN and recreation coordinator for the Mt. Pleasant Regional Center. Joyce played both piano and organ most of her life. She enjoyed traveling and camping.

Joyce is survived by her children, Richard Fish of Willis, TX, and Jerri (Greg) Pelletier of Midland; daughter-in-law, Marian Fish of Mt. Pleasant; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Wilma "Billy" (Richard) Hubel of Folsom, LA.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan; son, Paul Fish; daughter, Janice Flannigan; great-grandson, Adam Baughn; parents; brother, Durwood French; and sisters, Lucille Bigham, Lois Bellinger, Shirley French, and Jackie Poland.
