Judith “Judy” Anne Palkoski 71 of Lake, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. Judith was born December 23, 1946 in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Francis and Anne (Babinski) Boguslaw. Judith was united in marriage to Mr. Mitchell Marion Palkoski on September 12, 1964 in Detroit, Michigan.
Mrs. Palkoski had resided in Lake since 1997, moving from Westland, Michigan. Judy was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison. She had worked many years at Elm Creek Ltd of Farwell. Judy enjoyed gardening, crafting, crocheting, knitting, reading novels and volunteering her time at the Clare County Genealogy Society.
Judy is survived by her husband of fifty-four years, Mr. Mitchell M. Palkoski of Lake, two daughters; Patricia Mohrlock and fiancé, Mark Wonch of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan and Nancy Palkoski of Taylor, Michigan, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one brother, Dennis Boguslaw and wife Susan of Westland, many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Poppy. Mrs. Palkoski was preceded in death by her parents, one granddaughter, Sarah Allred and a half-sister, Gertrude Kowalski.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from St. Athanasius Catholic Church, 310 South Broad Street, Harrison, with Fr. J. Marcel Portelli officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. at St. Athanasius Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Athanasius Catholic Cemetery, Harrison.
