Obituary for Julie Ann Collin
COLLIN, JULIE ANN, age 77, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Monday, November 21, 2022, at McLaren Central Michigan Hospital.
Julie will be cremated at Daisy Hill Crematory. Per her wishes, no services will take place. Memorial contributions may be made to Humane Animal Treatment Society, 1105 S. Isabella Rd., Mt. Pleasant, MI 48858.
Julie was born in Sanford on June 21, 1945, the daughter of Gerald and Barbara (Leposki) Hodges. She graduated Valedictorian of Sanford High School with the class of 1963. Julie married James Collin, Sr. on July 20, 1967, in Mt. Pleasant. For many years, Julie was a well-respected Birman cat breeder and was an active member of American Cat Fanciers Association. She was a devoted, loving wife to Jim; and an amazing mom to her boys. Julie liked to keep busy with Sudoku and other brain puzzles. She loved her gardening and being outside. Her time in the woods spent alongside Jim at their family camp, “Guns and Hoses” was her favorite place to be with her favorite people.
Julie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jim Collin Sr.; sons Jeffrey Lincoln of Phoenix, AZ, James (Lena) Collin, Jr. of Boston, MA; brothers Bo Hodges and John Hodges, both of Coleman.
Julie was preceded in death by her parents; son Richard Lincoln in 1999; brothers Tom and Andy; and sister Sue.
