Obituary for June Rose Plank (Carr)
June Rose Plank presently in Holland MI, went quietly and peacefully into the arms of Jesus our Lord on February 14, 2021. She was assisted into this beautiful transition by two of her immediate family.
June was preceded in death by her husband Doyle, brother Dalton Carr, sister Ruth Simmer, Susan Plank (wife of Terry Plank, son) and Jan Plank (wife of Harrison Plank).
June was born in Millbrook to Blanche and Elton Carr. Most of her younger life was spent in the rural community of Weidman, she then married Doyle Plank and eventually lived near Breckenridge, Michigan. This was Doyle and June's home for more than sixty years. In 2011 June then widowed spent her last years in Holland near her daughter.
June was a wonderful loving mother to her four children: Pennie, Terry, Harrison and Douglas. She always made sure we had nutritiously correct meals and was an excellent cook and caring Mom. June was very active in her church at Mt. Haley and Floyd Church of God, In the winters spent in Lakeland, Florida she and Doyle were very active in the church and ministered to many Nursing Homes in that area with singing and scripture.
June is survived by her four children, Pennie Brown Woodwyk, Terry Plank, Harrison Plank, Douglas Plank; two Grandchildren Ben Plank and Megan Plank and a Great Granddaughter Adilynn Plank. Harrison and grandchildren reside in Oklahoma.
A Private funeral service for June's life will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel in Mt. Pleasant Michigan on Feb 20, 2021. The family will receive friends for a public visitation and celebration from 10:00 to 11:00.
