KALVIN “BUTCH” GLENN GIDDINGS
APRIL 6, 1950 – JANUARY 23, 2019
Kalvin “Butch” Glenn Giddings 68 of Harrison passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. Kalvin was born April 6, 1950 in Reed City, Michigan the son of Ellis E. and Fannie E. (Sutton) Giddings.
Butch had resided in Harrison since 1955, coming from Luther, Michigan. On November 5, 1977 in Bay City, Michigan, Kalvin was united in marriage to Ms. Barbara Joann Chambers. For several years, Mr. Giddings owned and operated Giddings Water Well Drilling of Harrison. He also worked several years driving truck for Kal-Con Construction, Key Energy and Beckman Production Services. Butch enjoyed fishing, cooking, baking and watching Jeopardy on television.
Surviving Mr. Giddings is his loving wife of forty-one years, Mrs. Barbara Joan Giddings of Harrison, his three sons; Courtney Giddings and wife Eann of Holt, Michigan, Kyle Giddings of Harrison and Craig Giddings also of Harrison, one grandson, Matthew Giddings of Prudenville, Michigan, two sisters; Carolyn Lee and husband Kit of Perry, Michigan and Tina Outinen and husband Gary of Chassel, Michigan, two brothers; Dennis Johnson and wife Susan of Harrison and Ronald Johnson also of Harrison, two step-grandchildren; Sasha Braman and Skyler Wolfe, many nieces and nephews and his k-9 companion, Puppy and his cat, Kiki. Mr. Giddings was preceded in death by his parents.
