ANDERSON, KARL A., age 86, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Midland, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at McLaren Central Michigan.

A Private Family Graveside Memorial Service for Karl will take place at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Open Door Baptist Church, 6200 Sturgeon Avenue, Midland, MI 48640. Envelopes will also be available at Clark Family Funeral Chapel.

Karl was born June 12, 1931, in Sparta, Michigan to Walter Anton and Ethel Lois (Pennington) Anderson. He graduated from Sparta High School, with the class of 1950. Karl proudly served his country in the Korean War. He married Eva Curtis in Mt. Pleasant on March 24, 1976. Karl retired from Consumer's Power in 1986. He was a member of Sanford American Legion. Karl loved dancing, playing cards, bowling, camping, and fishing.

Karl is survived by his wife Eva Anderson of Mt. Pleasant; daughter Pamela (Stan) Wagner of Ravenna; step-daughter's: Linda Slade of Livonia, Debbie (Dave) McClintic of Bel Air, Maryland, Sandy Deopker of Shepherd, Connie (Robert) Kiwala of Grand Ledge; step-son Edward Carey of Mt. Pleasant; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother Donald (Bertha) Anderson of Sparta; and a sister Marylin Race of Sparta.

Karl was preceded in death by his parents; and step son-in-law Jim Slade.
