Obituary for Kenneth Roger Betot
Kenneth "Roger" Betot, age 82, of Harrison, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2023, at Medilodge of Clare.
Funeral Services for Roger will be held at Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel on Friday, March 31, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Benjamen Evers officiating. A Luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. Interment will take place in the Frost Township Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel on Thursday, March 30, from 4 until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue the day of the service from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to John J. Carter Masonic Lodge #436 F & AM. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Roger was born on September 7, 1940, in Detroit, son of John and Marion (Graul) Betot. Roger married Elaine Kay Jenkins on July 25, 1959, in Redford Township. After leaving Brighton, Roger and Elaine made Harrison their new home. Kenneth was an avid hunter and fisher, and enjoyed his 10 years of employment at Jays in the firearm department. He also enjoyed attending Civil War reenactments. Roger was a member of the Brown Corners Church, Harrison Moose Lodge, and the John J. Carter Masonic Lodge #436 F&AM.
Roger is survived by his children, Michael (Kristina Mielke) Betot of Huntsville, AL, and Michelle (Dan) June of Clarkston, MI; grandchildren, Allyson Betot, Ryan (Betot) Root, Hunter Travis, Taylor Travis, Dr. Jennifer Mielke, Chad Mielke, Miranda Yancy, Milynda (Jacob) Fuson, and Matthew Miller; great-grandchildren, Carol Elaine "Lainey" Betot and Abigail Mae Fuson; sister, Lois (Rolland) Sylvester of LaGrange, GA; special friend, Nancy Buzzell; and many nieces and nephews.
Roger was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine Betot on May 29, 2009; parents; and brother, Robert Smith.
