Obituary for Kenneth Dale Bullard
BULLARD, KENNETH DALE, age 66, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family.
Funeral Services for Ken will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at 1 p.m. with Benjamen Evers officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday beginning at 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Ken was born August 10, 1956, in Mt. Pleasant, the son of Arnie and Pauline (Roberts) Bullard. He married Jo Vertako on August 8, 1980. Ken retired from Morbark Industries in 2021 after 30 years of service. Ken was a simple man with a keen sense of humor; he was a great dad and took pride in everything, especially his daughters. There wasn’t a sporting event he missed for his grandkids; he loved every moment spent with them. His hobbies included golfing, fishing, and hunting. Ken could often be found in his pole barn watching sports or with his friends and family at Chappy’s Resort spending weekends perfecting his golf game and having fun.
Ken is survived by his wife, Jo Bullard; daughters, Tracee (Matt) Wilson of Mt. Pleasant, Kendra (Burt) Blair of Perrinton, Amy Lilly of Bath, Maine, Jessica (Tommy) Salfai of Mackinac Island, Lisa Bullard (John Cicala) of West Bloomfield, Kelly (Jason) Bullard of Alma, Ashley Bullard (Bobby Sims) of Shepherd; mother Pauline Bullard of Mt. Pleasant; 14 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and one on the way; brother Alan Bullard of Cleveland, TN; and many nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his father Arnie Bullard; sister Deb Bullard; brother Gary Bullard; and great-grandson Bentley Bullard.
