Obituary for Kenneth Roberts
ROBERTS, KENNETH, age 86, of Six Lakes, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 14, 2021, at his home with his family by his side.
Ken’s wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date. His ashes will be interred at Hillcrest Cemetery in Six Lakes
Ken was born December 15, 1934, in Dunlap, Iowa, the son of Garnet and Olive (Wise) Roberts. Ken proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy for 9 years. He worked as a carpenter and millwright for many years and retired in 1997. Ken married Sue Maranda on June 29, 1983. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed fishing, and loved to enjoy life.
Ken is survived by his wife Sue Roberts of Six Lakes; daughters Stacy Roberts (Ken Ackley) of Alma, Lorena (Rob) Graves of Stanton; grandchildren: Heather (Gordy) Bogart, Rachel (Scott) Avery, Jennifer Beardslee (Seth Johnson), Gunnar (Brooke) Graves, Tawny Graves (Ranvijay Singh); great-grandchildren Audrey, Mason, Kylee, Harper, Olivia, Ellie Jo, Everly, Freyja; sisters Vesta Rebero, Judy (Dennis) Fuller, both of California; and sister-in-law Norma Roberts of California.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; brother Irvin Roberts; sister Donna Ferreira; brother-in-law Manuel Rebero
