Obituary for Kenneth Eugene Waters
WATERS, KENNETH EUGENE, age 76, of Wynne, Arkansas, formerly of Weidman, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022, in Mt. Pleasant.
Graveside Funeral Services for Ken will take place on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 1 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Weidman with Pastor Randy Brandon officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Disabled American Veterans, Lottie Moon International Missions, or Community Baptist Church of Alma.
Ken was born in Ft. Wayne, Indiana, August 7, 1945, the son of Samuel and Wilma (Ramel) Waters. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He married Vickie Burton in Wynne, Arkansas on June 13, 2008. Ken’s passion was racing; he loved watching NASCAR and used to dirt track race in his younger years. He was a lifetime member of Pine Bluff VFW and member of Pine Bluff American Legion.
Ken is survived by his wife Vickie Burton; children Kelly (Bryan) Sitzer of Grant, MI, Kenneth Waters, Jr. of Maui, HI, Mary (Mark) Hawkins of Blanchard; stepsons David (Joy) Burton of Wynne, AR, Matt (Melissa) Burton of Springdale, AR; 8 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 step great grandchild; sister Janet (Howard) Fisher of Mt. Pleasant; and several nieces and nephews.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Milo Fisher; 3 sisters; and 2 brothers.
