Obituary for Kenny Schreiner
Kenny Schreiner, age 65 of Temple, Michigan, passed away Friday, September 8, 2023. Kenny was born August 6, 1958 in St. Johns, Michigan, the son of Andrew Schreiner and Marie
Irene (Long) Schreiner. Kenny was a graduate from Ashley High School in 1976.
Kenny retired from Apex Marine of St. Louis after several years of employment. Mr. Schreiner grew up in Bannister, Michigan, of which he stayed in the surrounding area until moving to Temple, Michigan in 2022. Kenny enjoyed all seasons of fishing with his two sons, playing his electric guitar, and listening to music, especially classic rock. He was in several bands over the years, where he played locally around the Chapin area. Kenny enjoyed being with friends and family and loved a good laugh. He made friends everywhere he went and was well-liked by many.
Surviving Kenny are his two sons: Devin Schreiner and his wife Ryley of Okemos, Michigan and Bryce Schreiner of Ashley, Michigan; mother of his children: Brenda Schreiner of Ashley, Michigan; three siblings: Karen Kirby of Elsie, Michigan, Diane Schreiner of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, and Lou Schreiner and his wife Kathy of Temple, Michigan; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Mr. Schreiner was preceded in death by his parents and two nephews.
A memorial service celebrating the life of Kenny Schreiner will take place Thursday, October 12 at East Washington Church located at 8051 S. Crapo Road, Ashley, Michigan from 4:00-6:00 pm. Visitation with family will be from 4:00-5:00 pm, and the service will begin thereafter (5:00-6:00 pm). Arrangements for Mr. Schreiner are entrusted with Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and Cremation Service (989-539-7810).
