Obituary for Larry Allan Bauer
LARRY ALLAN BAUER, age 80, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at his home.
Larry was born November 1, 1941, in Detroit, the son of Art and Margarite (LaLonde) Bauer. He served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam. Upon his discharge, he returned to Michigan to help on the family farm until he started his career as an over-the-road truck driver. In his later years he enjoyed telling stories of places he had visited while in the Navy and truck driving. On June 8, 1991, he married the love of his life, Alberta. As a couple they enjoyed traveling throughout northern Michigan. Larry also enjoyed spending quality time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Alberta; children Rex Bauer of Grand Rapids, Shawn Blum of Stanton, Dustin (Shelly) Bauer of Edmore, Jason Bauer of Stanton, Dean Bigelow of Lansing, Troy Bigelow of Edmore, Jeremiah (Jennifer) Bigelow of Lansing; 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, grandson: Kyle Bauer and great-grandson: Asher Fickle.
Private services for Larry will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
