Obituary for Larry Herman Boursaw

Boursaw, Larry Herman, age 79 of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, in his home with his family by his side.

Cremation took place at Daisy Hill Crematory. A memorial service for Larry will be held at the Mt. Pleasant Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at 11 AM with Pastor Mabio Coelho officiating. Visitation will start at 10 AM and continue until the time of service. A luncheon will follow the service.

Larry was born to Herman and Dorothy (Enders) Boursaw on July 6, 1942, in Mt. Pleasant, MI. He was raised in Mt. Pleasant by his mother Dorothy and dad, Allen Bowen. Larry graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School and then from DeVry University. He worked for Delfield for 33 years. Larry was a proud member of the Little Traverse Bay Band of Odawa Indians. He married Judy Lee Carpenter on March 17, 1995, in Mt. Pleasant. Larry took care of his family and friends with his many talents. He was an avid woodworker and a self-taught musician who enjoyed playing music for the Commission on Aging, where he was awarded for ten years of volunteer service. Larry was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Moose Lodge and achieved the rank of Life Scout with BSA.

Larry is survived by his wife Judy of 27 years and children James Boursaw, Michael Boursaw, Michelle Boursaw, Joel Smith, Ronnie Smith, Danny Smith, and Amy (Steven) Barry, plus 7 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and dear friend, Mark (Janet) Boughner.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Gary Boursaw.
