Obituary for Laurence Edward "Larry" Klein
Laurence Edward Klein, age 93, of Harrison passed away Saturday, October 22, 2022, at North Woods Nursing Center.
Per Larry's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthanasius or Promedica Hospice. Envelopes will be available at Clark-Stocking Funeral Chapel and the church.
Larry was born on July 7, 1929, in Detroit, son of Karl and Marguerite (Letourneau) Klein. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army. He married Patricia S. Kosey on July 12, 1952, in Lincoln Park, MI. Larry worked as a meat cutter for many years before retiring and moving to the Harrison area in 1992. He was a parishioner of Saint Athanasius Catholic Church and a member of the 3rd degree of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed woodworking and working the K of C bingo nights.
Larry is survived by his children, Theresa (Randall) Leach of Woodhaven and Michael (Cynthia) Klein of Lincoln Park; daughters-in-law, Martha Klein and Renee Klein; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia on April 8, 1999; sons, David Klein and K. Edward Klein; parents; brothers, Frank, Harry, and Frederick Klein; and sisters, Anna Marie Klein and Mary Yvonne Smith.
