Obituary for Lauretta Fern Turner
TURNER, LAURETTA FERN, age 82, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020, at McLaren Central Michigan Hospital in Mt. Pleasant.
The family will receive friends at a public visitation on Sunday, November 29, 2020 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Clark Family Funeral Chapel. A Private Funeral Service for Lauretta will take place. Interment will take place at Salt River Cemetery Memorial contributions may be made to Isabella County Commission on Aging. Envelopes are available at the funeral chapel.

Lauretta was born June 22, 1938, in Blanchard, the daughter of William and Wilma (Meiers) Donald. She married Ronald Eugene Turner on October 23, 1959, in Shepherd. Ron preceded her in death. Lauretta retired from CMU after working in the food service department and custodian for many years. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, and canning. She was a member of Happy Rippers Quilting Group.
Lauretta is survived by her children: Ronda (Dana) Shepard of Mt. Pleasant, Peggy Fisher (Al Young) of Mt. Pleasant, Jennie (Kurt) Bigelow of Shepherd, and Fred (Jennie) Turner of Mt. Pleasant; 10 grandchildren Christopher, James, Mike, Brandon, Adam, Stephanie, Rachel, Nicole, Courtney, and Zach; 20 great-grandchildren; brother John; and sisters Margaret, Doris, Maryellen, Trudy, and Sharon.
Lauretta was preceded in death by her parents; brother Richard; sisters Ruth and Bertha; mother-in-law Jennie E. Turner; and son-in-law Kenneth Linville.
