Obituary for Leonard Dale Hilderbrand
HILDERBRAND, LEONARD DALE, age 62, of Weidman, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at his home.
Funeral Services for Leonard will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at 1 p.m. A luncheon will immediately follow at Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends on Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Leonard was born October 28, 1959, in Flora, Illinois, the son of Opal Neil and Carole (Shroyer) Hilderbrand. He graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School. Leonard worked at Renosol/Lear Corporation for 27 years. He worked for CME for the past 5 years before retiring in 2020. Leonard married Tina Stockwell on August 7, 2021. He was a member of Weidman Business Association. Leonard loved fishing, hunting, watching NASCAR, and listening to bluegrass music. He also enjoyed a good game of euchre, farkle, bingo, golf, or bowling.
Leonard is survived by his wife Tina Hilderbrand; children Ashley (Jason) Tremain, Nicholas Hilderbrand, all of Mt. Pleasant; Krystal (Jon) Martin of Shepherd, Jacob (Chelsea) Stockwell of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren Jay, Kaylee, Ashton, Mackenzie, Mason, Maverick, Lucas, Layla, and Levi; parents Carole and Carroll Rinehart of Mt. Pleasant; siblings Carla Fitzgerald of Illinois, Pam (Gary) Bible of Illinois, Tony (Trish) Hilderbrand of Lake, Deborah (Roger) Simmer of Weidman, Donna (Mark) Giffin of Mt. Pleasant, Tess (Kurt) Hartshorn of Mt. Pleasant; parents-in-law Wayne Whitham (Marlene) of Mt. Pleasant; brother-in-law Douglas (Lorey) Whitham of Grand Rapids; sister-in-law Valerie (Ken) DeBoer of Wheatland, CA; many nieces and nephews; and his furry napping buddy Max.
Leonard was preceded in death by his father Opal Hilderbrand; brother Neil Hilderbrand; sister Susan Lake; nephew Jesse Hilderbrand; and mother-in-law Patsy Atkinson.
