Obituary for Leonard Earl Jackson

Jackson, Leonard Earl, age 89, passed away July 24, 2023. He was the husband of Jacqueline Jackson for 32 ½ years of marriage.

Leonard was born in Sparlingville, MI; son of Wm. Earl Jackson and Louise Warsinke. He was the second born of 6 children. As members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Huron, MI. Len attended school there through junior high. He then attended high school in Port Huron, Ml.

He joined the US Army and served one of the years in peacetime Germany. After returning home, He married Rosalie Reynolds, and they had 7 children.

Later he worked for Western Crude Oil, Inc. as the Marysville District Supervisor. In 1982 he moved to Mt Pleasant where he began working for Total Petroleum Inc. After several years, Len became the Senior Safety Inspector. He was also a certified American Red Cross instructor who would hold safety meetings with the drivers.

In 1989 he joined the Immanuel Lutheran singles group, where he met Jacqueline, and they dated for a year before being married in 1991,

He loved golfing and bowling in his spare time. He will be remembered for loving his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife to out of state locations for vacations.

He is survived by his wife, children: Stephen, Len Jr., Craig, Donald, Ronald, Mary, and Dawn; 23 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Cathy, son, Michael and brother, Paul.

The memorial service for Leonard will be take place at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 1 p.m. with Rev. Margaret Vredeveld officiating. Burial of ashes will take place at Riverside Cemetery. A luncheon will follow in the Reflections Reception Center.
