Obituary for Linda Louise Leszcz
Linda Louise Leszcz age 74 of Farwell, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at The Horizon Senior Living II of Clare. Linda was born July 23, 1948 in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of Alois and Bernice (Laramie) Gogel. Linda was united in marriage to Mr. Richard “Rich” Frank Leszcz on September 19, 1970 in St. Louis, Missouri. Rich preceded Linda in death on November 7, 2022 after fifty-one years of marriage.
Mrs. Leszcz had resided in rural Farwell since 1992, moving from Canton, Michigan. Linda was a devote catholic, attending Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Cecilia Site in Clare. Linda loved her church and church family, frequent visits with her sorority girls, attending her sons school and sporting events, her home on the lake, boating, sitting by the water, cooking and baking for family and friends, reading and maintaining and loving her yard and floral gardens.
Surviving Mrs. Leszcz are her two sons: Christopher Leszcz and wife Amy of Evansville, Indiana and Kevin Leszcz and wife Staci of Sterling Heights, Michigan, her three grandchildren: Lawrence and Anna Leszcz and her unborn granddaughter, three brothers: Danny Gogel, Tony Gogel and wife Terri and Joe Gogel and wife Vicki all of St. Louis, Missouri, plus many nieces, nephews and extended family. Linda was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Robert Gogel and one sister-in-law, Sandy Gogel.
A funeral mass for Linda will be held at Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Cecilia Site in Clare, 106 E. Wheaton Avenue, Clare, Michigan 48617, at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 31, 2023 with Monsignor Francis Koper officiating. Inurnment will follow in the St. Cecilia Catholic Cemetery, Clare.
