Obituary for Linda Marie Parks (Brandt)

Linda Marie Parks age 62 of Lake, Michigan passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family on Friday, January 6, 2023. Linda was born February 7, 1960, in Detroit, Michigan the daughter of Ronald and Caroline (Marshall) Brandt. Linda graduated from Farwell High School, Farwell, Michigan in 1978. Later in her life, Linda returned school, and earned her degree as an Emergency Medical Technician as well as a Paramedic.
Linda spent many years in the medical field working for United Rescue Ambulance Service. She also worked over twenty years as a cook with S & R Diner of Harrison. On July 23, 2022, Linda was united in marriage to her companion of many years, Mr. Carl J. Parks III. Mrs. Parks enjoyed spending time with her grandbabies, fishing, camping, and attending NASCAR races with Carl and family. She also found great relaxation in crafting, gardening, and preparing her famous goulash, pot roast and turkey dinners for her family. Linda also enjoyed going to the casino and attending various concerts. Many will remember Linda for her vibrant smile, kind heart and gentle soul.
Surviving Linda is her husband, Carl J. Parks III of Lake, eight children: Tabatha Simon and husband Sam of Harrison, Alyson Parks and Dean Louch of Clare, Michigan, Brooke and husband Vance of Cadillac, Michigan, Stephanie Dennis of Harrison, Samantha Harrison and husband Roy of Gadsden, Alabama, John Shooter and wife Andrea of Finley, Ohio, Danny Parks and wife Tina of Harrison and Rebecca Branam and Billy Babcock, numerous grandchildren, one brother in law, David Parks of New Lothrop, Michigan, plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
Celebration of Life services honoring Linda will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., from Harrison Moose Lodge and Family Center #2235, 5185 North Clare Avenue, Harrison. Luncheon will immediately follow services. Memorial gifts in memory of Linda may be considered to the Parks Family, in care of: Carl J. Parks III or Tabatha Simon.
