Obituary for Lloyd Crandel Rehkopf

Rehkopf, Lloyd Crandel, age 101, passed away April 10, 2021 at his home.

A memorial service for Lloyd will take place at the First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Andrew Miller officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church or Heartland Hospice.

Lloyd was born on March 26, 1920, in Reed City, the son of Herman and Della (Steig) Rehkopf. He married Emma Jane Miller on September 6, 1947 in Big Rapids. Lloyd proudly served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II. He worked as a branch manager for AAA for 30 years. Lloyd was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and a life-long member of the Elks Club. He enjoyed golf, hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening and doing crossword puzzles in the Morning Sun.

Lloyd is survived by his children: Cordell (Gaye) Rehkopf of Traverse City, Pamela Welling of Mt. Pleasant, Lea Ann (Michael) Salzbrun of Bethel, AK and Sandra (Richard) Sall of Englewood, CO; grandchildren: Jennifer (David) Laughter, Jeffrey Rehkopf, Wyatt Salzbrun, Lucas Salzbrun, Carla Salzbrun, Deanna (Rich) Price, Ashleigh Sall, Lauryn Sall, Kristin (Tom) Baker, and Derek (Becky) Welling, great-granddaughter, Della Reese Laughter; sisters: Carol McLachlan of Evart and Naida Larson of Morley.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, Emma Jane of 49 years; parents, brothers: Earl, Norman, Harvey and Leonard Rehkopf.
