Obituary for Lloyd George Stickler

STICKLER, LLOYD GEORGE, age 76, of Edmore, passed away Thursday, September 15, 2022, at Woodland Hospice House.

Funeral Services for Lloyd will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Friday, September 23, 2022, at 1 p.m. with Benjamen Evers officiating. Private burial will take place in McBride Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel. Everyone attending the funeral service is asked to please wear a face mask.

Lloyd was born April 6, 1946, in Remus, the son of Seamer and Olive (Rees) Stickler. He graduated from Mecosta-Remus High School with the class of 1964. Lloyd married Colleen Sabin on March 2, 1968. Together, they built their home and raised their family in Edmore. He earned his CPCU in 2000 in San Antonio, TX. Lloyd was a member of the Six Lakes Masonic Lodge #454. He loved time spent with his family, drinking coffee on the porch with his wife, and participating in events with fellow Masons. In his spare time, Lloyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, bird watching, reading, and working in his garden and yard. Lloyd worked as an agribusiness manager for Michigan Millers Mutual for 34 years, before retiring in 2010.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 54 years, Colleen Stickler; his children Anthony Stickler of Edmore, Tim (Laurie) Stickler of Hudsonville, Christina Stickler (Jeff Reed) of West Branch, Brittani Stickler of Grandville; grandchildren Ashlyn Guild, Cody Reed, Suthern Reed, and Easton Reed, all of West Branch; and Jessie Stickler of Hudsonville; brother Jack Stickler of Remus; and sisters Linda Knobloch of Wisconsin and Nelda Stratz of Big Rapids.
