SHEPPARD, LOIS ANN, age 84, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018, at McLaren Central Michigan.

Lois was born October 30, 1933, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of LeRoy and Mary (Walters) Neier. She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School with the Class of 1951. Lois married her high school sweetheart, Donald James "Jim" Sheppard on May 15, 1954. She worked for 25 years at the CMU Bookstore. Lois and Jim enjoyed 57 years together, raising their five children. She loved spending her summers at Higgins Lake with her husband, family, and friends. Lois enjoyed her daily stops to the Mt. Pleasant American Legion.

Lois is survived by her children Kimberly (Chad) Allan of Waterford, MI, Mary Weber of Commerce Township, MI, Patrick Sheppard of Rockford, MI, Carolyn Skelton of Ft. Wayne, IN, and Timothy (Christina) Sheppard of Marysville, OH; 8 grandchildren Nathan and Chad Bush, Lauren and Eric Weber, Kyle, Mitchell, and Makelle Skelton, and Joshua Sheppard; 2 great-grandchildren Philip Benedict and Ella Bush; and nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by her husband Jim on March 17, 2012; her parents; 2 brothers Richard and Gene Neier; and a sister Ruth Turner.

Funeral Services for Lois will take place on Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at 2 p.m. A luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends the day of the service from 12-2 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to McLaren Hospice-Woodland and HATS. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
