Obituary for Lonnie L. Lint

LINT, LONNIE L., age 80, of Blanchard, passed away Friday, February 17, 2023, at University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor.

A Memorial Service for Lonnie will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Sunday, February 26, 2023, at 12 p.m. with Benjamen Evers officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow in the Reflections Reception Center. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and on Sunday beginning at 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Following the luncheon, interment of ashes will take place at Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Montabella Sports and Band Boosters. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Lonnie was born in Fremont Township, Isabella County, on March 9, 1942, the son of Stanford and Marie (Moore) Lint. He was a graduate of Blanchard High School with the class of 1960 and earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Davenport University. Lonnie married Naomi Foster on February 14, 1970, in Sylvester, Michigan. Lonnie worked as a bank examiner over 40 years for the State of Michigan and Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, retiring as senior bank examiner. For many years, he served on the board for Blanchard Telephone Company. He and Naomi enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. Lonnie liked playing cards, Detroit Tigers baseball, watching football and basketball, and any of the grandkid’s sports. The true joy of his life was time spent with his wife and family.

Lonnie is survived by his wife Naomi Lint; children, Brian (Katie) Lint of St. Joseph, Stephen (Brenda) Lint of Blanchard, Melissa (Eric) Allen of Vestaburg, Travis (Brooke) Lint of Remus, Brandon Lint of Dexter; daughter-in-law Kandy Schreiner of Cedar Springs; grandchildren Elan (Justin) Buckingham, Evan (Jori) Lint, Teah Lint, Tynan Lint, Emily (Jessie) McMillan, Sidney (Ryan) Peterson, Trevor Allen, Levi (Bobbie) Cepak, Ellington Lint, Braden Lint, Grace Lint, Kennedy Lint, Addison Lint; great-grandchildren Jaidyn, Noah, Brody, Austin, Watson and Emma; sister Dawn (Mike) Lasko of Sparta; niece Tracey (Brian) Malone of Byron Center; and many other extended family members.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter Kimberly Lint.
