Lorraine Margaret (Holliday) Garcia, age 87, of Shepherd, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023 in Auburn MI.
Funeral Services for Lorraine will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel in Mt. Pleasant, on Monday, March 27, 2023, at 1 p.m. with Ben Evers officiating. Interment will take place in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Mount Pleasant. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel on Monday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.
Lorraine was born on June 21, 1935, in Mt. Pleasant, the daughter of the late Floyd and Louvenie “Margaret” (Nixon) Holliday. She will be remembered as a hard worker. Lorraine worked for Mt. Pleasant Public Schools and then worked and eventually retired from McLaren Hospital in the Dietary Food Services Department. She loved to listen to country music and in her youth she attended many local dances.
Lorraine is survived by her son, Michael McCray: grandchildren, Jessie (Rayanne) Quiroz, Jenny McCray: five great grandchildren: twin brother, Loren Leroy Holliday: sister, Leona Mae McCray: many nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents: first husband and father of her children, Allie Carl McCray: second husband, Trev Garcia: son Allie “Keith” McCray: daughter, Rosie McCray: sister, Lois Holliday: child brother, Oren Holliday.
