Obituary for Lou Ann Totten

Totten, Lou Ann, age 63, of Clare, formerly of Rosebush, passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 at Mid-Michigan Medical Center in Midland.

Services for Lou Ann will be held at Clark Family Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, April 17 at 11 a.m. with Benjamen Evers officiating. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery. A luncheon will be held at Rosebush United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel on Sunday, April 15 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rosebush United Methodist Church. Envelopes will be available at the funeral chapel.

Lou Ann was born on June 13, 1954, the daughter of Albert C. Miller and Clarabel (St. Johns) Miller. She married Rodney Totten on May 13, 1972. Lou Ann was a bus driver for Mount Pleasant Public Schools for 25 years. She was a member of the Rosebush United Methodist Church and the Broken Glass String Band. Lou Ann loved knitting, crocheting, playing music on her dulcimer, camping, taking car rides and spending time with her family.

Lou Ann is survived by her husband, Rodney, daughter, Johnna Totten of Clare, brother, Gene (Linda) Miller of Charlotte, sisters, Donna (Kim) Cloud of Walhalla and Loia Miller of Clare, mother-in-law, Shirley Totten of Mt. Pleasant and sisters-in-law, Rohnna (Steve) Bridget of Mt. Pleasant, Rebecca (Jim) Haught of Wellston, Robin (Steve) Sargent of Mt. Pleasant, Rhea (Chuck) Lewis of Coleman and Penny Totten of Escanaba.

Lou Ann was preceded in death by her son, Jacob in 2005, parents, and baby sister, Marion K. Miller and brother-in-law, Richard Totten.
